As part of our work with automation and industry 4.0 solutions providers (ranging from SESA SYSTEMS’ LEAN manufacturing, to Adeunis’ IOT sensors, Presto Engineering’s ASIC microchips, Infolytx’s machine learning, and Vantiq’s real-time business operations digitalization), our team explored this week the Advanced Design & Manufacturing 2018 event at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Exciting innovations, components, machines and much more were part of 2018’s event.

In the picture above, REKO’s outstanding team allowed us to experience the program they use to visualize in real time systems they have developed for manufacturers. REKO specializes in robotic factory automation solutions, precision machining of large critical parts, plastic injection and low compression acoustic tooling. Robotic automation is part of the essence of industry 4.0 which will save time consumption, increase safety and organization within the company.

Panels enabled our team to network with industry executives, enhance our knowledge of current innovations and allowed us exclusive first look into leading edge technology. Over a three-day period, we attended hours of educational sessions led by professionals in product design and development in multiple industries.

Examples of interesting products ranged from wearable devices, to surgical robots, PTFE polymers/resins, lean manufacturing, automation, and much more: All Flex, with their flexible printed circuits, serves the needs of sectors ranging from the military to medical organizations, aerospace industries and more; CIMQUEST provides product designers with services including 3-D printing and AutoCAD/CAM for applications ranging from self-tuning guitar mechanisms to military apparel; a provider of paperless solutions for real-time integration of data from machines, tools, and other software to support industry 4.0 initiatives was also especially interesting for our LEAN manufacturing branch. Overall, it was exciting to see so many collaboration opportunities for several technology providers we represent (Lean manufacturing equipment and solutions, IOT sensors, ASIC microchips, Infolytx’s machine learning, etc.)
