Frédéric Champavère
Managing Partner Europe

FCsmall.jpgFrédéric brings 30 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry in various managing positions in Europe and the USA. Prior to joining Triana, Frédéric was President of the French pharmaceutical company Negma following the acquisition by the Wockhardt Group of India and held responsibilities for continental Europe. He founded Pharma Omnium for which he raised €100 million with the investment fund Weinberg Capital Partners and acquired Biodim. Before going to the venture world, Frédéric had an extensive experience with Big Pharma either with multi country management experience in Europe or as President of Eli Lilly and Janssen-Cilag in France.

Formerly, she was President and CEO for Ocular Proteomics LLC an ophthalmic diagnostics company; Chief Operating Officer for Clinilabs a contract research organization; VP for Covance, a global contract research organization; and Executive Director of Global Clinical Development for Bristol-Myers Squibb. Lorraine is a member of the New Jersey Technology Council, Maryland Technology Council, BIO and the Women’s Investors Network. She received MBAs from Columbia University and the London Business School.


Pamela Yih

pamela.jpgPresident of Pamela Y-F Yih, Inc. since 1993, specializing in commercialization strategies, strategic marketing in multiple therapeutic areas, and developing cross functional commercial planning/evaluation/business development processes. Prior to starting her own company, Pamela was at Squibb/Bristol Myers Squibb in roles of increasing responsibility in US Medical Marketing and subsequently in Worldwide Product and Business Planning where she was responsible for the ACE Inhibitor franchise and led the global commercialization and launches for Monopril and the new indications for Capoten. Pamela started her career as an Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska, College of Pharmacy. She is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Doctorate of Pharmacy.

He is now a Board Member of Shire Plc (U.K.), Scynexis (USA), Exonhit (France), Nanobiotix (France), and Newron (Italy) and General Partner of PJL CONSEILS. He also brings to Triana eleven years of senior executive experience in the United States as CFO and member of the executive committee of a NYSE-listed subsidiary of Rhône-Poulenc. His expertise and well established relationships with equity investors and banks can be mobilized to facilitate the development and implementation of strategies across the full spectrum of internal growth, M&A development, and corporate restructuring.

In contrast to the traditional venture capital model, for example, where the VCs take a Board seat and become advisors to the company, Sanders becomes the CEO or Executive Chairman of the companies that he chooses to engage. Jerry has served as founder and CEO of BaFF (sold to Boston Scientific), founder and CEO of ArteriA (sold to Gore), founder and CEO of X-Cardia (sold to Imagyn), founder and CEO of S3 (sold to Tyco). Jerry also teaches at Oxford University’s Saïd Business School. He is the subject of an Harvard Business School case study on entrepreneurs entitled “Jerry Sanders” : “He had sold his medical device company for more than $33 million […] less than 10 months […] with just a concept and initial investments of $180,000.”

Jerome brings thirteen years of executive experience in the cosmetic, pharmaceutical and medical devices business. Jerome has been a Director at L'Oreal USA, where he successfully launched a medical subsidiary from concept to profitable national distribution. As part of this assignment Jerome had key roles in M&A and due diligence processes, led medical registrations, directed the distribution and brand management, developed and supervised medical sales teams and had P&L responsibility. He held the titles of Head of Regulatory Affairs, Marketing & Business Development, and International Health Registration. Jerome holds a Doctorate in Pharmaceutical Science from the University of Caen in France and a MBA from ESSEC Graduate School of Management, Paris.
